My Two Cents on Turning Eighteen

18 Lessons for turning 18

Just thought to share some things I’ve experienced through my 18 years in this world. Hope someone finds it useful, willing to discuss any of the points in the comments.

0. Always Quality > Quantity.
1. Cherish the little moments.
2. It’s okay to be alone. Solidarity is sometimes good.
3. Put yourself first (when you have the choice).
4. There are friends for a reason; and there are friends for a season.
5. Family is as important as friends (spend more time with them).
6. It’s okay to disappear from social media (definitely due for a detox).
7. Moderation in everything you do.
8. Do or do not, there is no try.
9. It’s okay to make mistakes, but learn from them.
10. Find happiness in what you do.
11. Create a routine and follow it.
12. Do what you need; Not what you want.
13. You don’t have to be perfect, Just be unique / be yourself.
14. Self-reflection is your greatest teacher.
15. Practise asking for second opinions (get more viewpoints).
16. Forgive; Don’t forget. And move on.
17. Grades will always matter (to different extents).
